 Tongan language week is coming up! Here are the videos we watched to prepare for our dancing.

Monday We learnt and practised the sasa. Tuesday We created a tapa cloth. Come and have a look at it in Kākano. Wednesday We had pani popo!!! This was yummy, soft, warm and moist.

 It is Samoan Language Week in a couple of weeks. To start celebrating this we are learning some samoan greetings from the blues players - this video is on youtube if you want to watch it! The song we are learning is Le Aute. There are actions to this song as well. We are also learning a sasa. Thank you to the seniors for helping out the other children today!!  Practise this at home. Can anyone learn the beat???

 Thank you Mrs Rounds for treating us to some pacific island doughnuts to get us all back together again.  Here is the recipe! 3 ½ cups self raising flour 1 cup white sugar 2 tsp yeast 2 very ripe bananas (mashed), or chocolate chips or sultanas (optional) 1 cup coconut cream 1/2 cup lukewarm water. 6 cups vegetable oil for frying

Friday 10th November: Grandparents/Friends Day! If your child is in the Pasifika group they will be performing at our Grandparents day celebration.
